What is Anti-Static Film?
Anti-static BOPP film is treated with conductive additives (carbon black, metallic compounds, or quaternary ammonium compounds) that allow static charges to dissipate gradually rather than accumulate.

Surface Resistivity Classification (per ASTM D257)
- Anti-Static — 10⁹ to 10¹² ohm/sq
- Static Dissipative — 10⁶ to 10⁹ ohm/sq
- Conductive — <10⁵ ohm/sq

Testing Methods
1. Surface Resistivity
ASTM D257 — Measured with concentric ring probe at 100V. Anti-static BOPP typically shows 10⁹-10¹¹ ohm/sq.
2. Static Decay
FED-STD-101 / EIA-541 — Measures time for 5000V to decay to 50V. Target: <2 seconds for anti-static film.
3. Tribocharging
ASTM D4470 — Film rubbed against standard material, then charge measured. Anti-static film shows <100V charge generation.
