Why This Matters
Virgin and recycled BOPP film perform differently. If your application depends on optical clarity, odor neutrality, or consistent mechanical strength, the difference is not academic.
1. The Visual Haze Test
Unroll 1–2 meters of film under a bright, cool light. Hold it at a 45° angle.
2. The Sniff Test
Cut a fresh strip and smell it immediately. Virgin film has a faint, neutral plastic smell.
3. The Stretch Test
Pull a 5 cm strip firmly with both hands. Virgin film stretches evenly and resists tearing.

The certificate says “polypropylene” but does not say “virgin polypropylene.”
Recycled content is mixed at the resin supplier, not the film maker. Small percentages (5–10%) do not show up in field tests.
